美国子午线防务公司（Meridian Defence Company，简称MDC）推出一款名为“嫉妒”（ENVY）的AK系步枪（图1），当然按照美国枪支管理法的标准，这枪配的是臂箍而非枪托，所以属于“手枪”。“嫉妒”这个词来自基督教“七宗罪”，即暴食、贪婪、懒惰、淫欲、嫉妒、暴怒、傲慢，这是该系列的第二个成员，今年8月份他们曾推出“七宗罪”系列第一款“淫欲”（图2），是罗马尼亚PM.mod.63风格，带折叠枪托的AK系步枪。

此次推出的“嫉妒”是一支11.5英寸短枪管、5.45mm口径的半自动AK，用了带导轨的导气管和机匣盖，插满配件显得很酷，但价格也相当贵，要3199美元！纯粹的智商税产品！

“嫉妒”、“淫欲”都是子午线公司七宗罪系列，此前该公司还根据基督教天启四骑士——战争、瘟疫、饥荒、死亡为主题，推出过4种AK系枪械。
